Gidal s.r.l. is specialised in finishing of splits, grain leather and synthetic or organic materials. In order to manage this final step of the process, it is required not only a deep technical competence but also creative abilities and knowledge of the industry. Part of our company mission is to develop new ideas in order to satisfy the desire of innovation and the need of protecting the environment.

We realise a particular finishing called Bycast. At first a compound of polyurethane and water-based pigments is prepared; then it is applied on special casting release papers through a coating system composed by 2 knives and 2 cylinders. The thin PU film is then bound to the selected substrate: cow splits, half hides, synthetics or appleskin.

This process takes place continuously through the use of release papers, which transfer the design and the shine on the chosen material. The final result is an excellent quality product with an exclusive finishing effect and with a low environmental impact.
